Special to the DCNT
Several Dickinson County students were recognized at the 39th annual Governors Scholars Award program May 1. The Governor’s Scholars Program recognizes graduating seniors who finished in the top 1% of their high school graduating class.
“Congratulations on joining this elite group of Kansans,” Gov. Laura Kelly said in a message to the students. “I hope the skills and knowledge you have acquired help guide you to a successful future. Although life is ever-changing, one thing remains constant: the benefit of education. Whatever avenue you choose after graduation, your opportunities are limitless, and the contributions you can make to the world will be invaluable. Congratulations again on your success, and may that success be multiplied in the years to come.
